Mike's 2000 Mustang GT

This is my ride and as any gearhead or carfan would say it is a continous work in progress. Just when you think you have it the way you want it, something comes along that makes you want to have it. The car is a result of an ongoing five year project that is about to really take off now that it is paid off. Don't you just love it when you no longer have to think about a car note.

After awhile you begin to ask yourself, "Do you own the car or does the car own you?"

My website, as with any modified car is a continuous work in progress. Thank you for your patience as I keep building.

Well I must it has been awhile since I have updated!  Before I tell you what has changed with the car I somewhat need to explain the absence.  I became the co-administrator of mymustangsite.com.  It's basically myspace for Mustange owners.  When you get the chance check it out.  Now on with the car.

I have done a number of things to the car, mainly interior and some exterior appearance enhancements.  On the outside Goldie is now wearing genuine Saleen wheels in silver.  I bought them fresh out of the box from an eBay auction.  Sometimes you'll find some nice gems online:

I also purchased a set of smoked headlamps without the amber turn signal lens.  They really clean up the look of the car.

Moving on to the interior I made a nice acquisition to practically complete the look of my clone.  Genuine Saleen seats for both front and back courtesy of eBay!

I changed the center console to the 2001-2004 model and added of the best interior accents for a Mustangs from MGW.

Gone is the carbon fiber interior.  I spent a weekend painting some interior trim pieces to give it a two tone look but now that I have the Saleen seats we might as well call it a three tone interior.

The old Kenwood Excelon went South on me on day which left me to enjoy the car's exhaust.  I still have to have my tunes so another Kenwood Excelon unit was called to serve my cause.

I changed out the stock bulbs in my instrument cluster and replaced them with blue LED bulbs from autolumination.net.  I have a genuine Saleen instrument cluster but I need to figure out how to bring power to a couple of wires to create the indiglo quality that Saleen gauges have.

Here she is resting in the garage.
